Nicolas Potel was one of Burgundy’s most respected figures, admired by everyone who had the chance to work with him. After selling his family estate, Domaine de la Pousse d’Or, he accomplished the rare feat of elevating the Bellene group—both the domaine and his négociant wines—to the highest level of excellence.
A true free spirit, Nicolas believed in organic farming practiced with both rigor and open-mindedness. His wines were always graceful and expressive, combining depth, vibrant aromas, and an effortless elegance that made them stand out. The two cuvées we’re sharing with you today are among the most popular on VALAP, and they capture everything that made his work so special.
