The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Founded in 2016, Côtes et Climats Pierre Mayeul has quickly earned a reputation for crafting Burgundies with true character and an uncompromising commitment to quality. Frédéric Hirault, Matthieu Bouchard, and Ludivine Griveau carefully select the best grapes, guided by deep technical expertise and an intimate understanding of Burgundy’s finest terroirs.

Strong identity, small volumes, great vineyards—the formula sounds simple, but achieving it is anything but. Every wine is shaped by the experience and intuition of Ludivine Griveau, who approaches this project with the same high standards she has always upheld.
Wine Opening with refined aromas of dark fruit and rose, accented by a touch of spice and subtle oak, the 2022 Savigny-lès-Beaune Red is a beautifully pure expression of Pinot Noir. The palate is fresh and vibrant, combining ripe fruit with firm tannins that promise excellent ageing potential. It can also be enjoyed young for its intense fruit character. Rated 93/100 by our Selection Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested. 100% destemmed grapes macerated in open vats for 21 days, with punching down and pumping over. Aged for 16 months in French oak barrels. Bottled without fining and with light filtration.
