Wine From a historic vineyard at the very heart of the appellation, the 2022 Saint-Joseph Red Vignes de l’Hospice remains one of the finest wines of Saint-Joseph. In this vintage of perfect ripeness, it reveals itself with generosity and precision, offering a silky texture layered with black fruit flavors, along with smoky, fresh, and mineral notes. The structured ageing brings extra depth and will benefit from a few more years, highlighting the beauty of this dense, velvety wine. A great wine with superb ageing potential — 15 years and beyond. A favourite of the Selection Committee, rated 94/100.
Vinification Hand harvested. Vines between 20 and 80 years old. Fermentation and temperature control up to 33°C. Aged for 30 months in new oak barrels.
