The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine This is a landmark release—and you’re getting the exclusive first look. We’re thrilled to unveil this Collector’s Edition cuvée, celebrating 340 years of Klein Constantia.

Only 7 barrels were produced, and this 2010 vintage has never before been available in France. For the very first time, experience a historic vintage of this legendary Cape wine, reborn in a collector’s bottling destined to make its mark.

For over three centuries, Klein Constantia has crafted the iconic Vin de Constance—a sweet wine once coveted by European royalty and some of history’s most influential figures. Nestled against the dramatic slopes of Table Mountain, the estate’s 146 hectares benefit from a uniquely favourable climate for producing world-class sweet wines. Since 1685, the story continues—with wines that rival the greatest Sauternes in elegance and prestige.
Wine The Vin de Constance Collector’s Edition White 2010 offers a completely new take on this iconic wine. Crafted using a singular vinification approach and aged for 15 years in barrel, this vintage redefines what Vin de Constance can be—while staying true to its legendary heritage. Harvested in three separate passes, the Muscat de Frontignan grapes were fermented on their skins in open-top wooden vats for two weeks. The result is a wine of extraordinary depth, texture, and concentration, with captivating layers of orange zest, marmalade, sandalwood, and nutmeg. No fortification, just pure natural balance—this wine combines sweetness and freshness with astonishing grace. It’s a masterclass in refinement, and nearly impossible to resist. Rated 98/100 by our Selection Committee.
Vinification Carefully hand harvested. Destemming and vinification on the skins in wooden vats. Pressing and fermentation in oak barrels. Aged for 14 years on fine lees.

Residual sugar: 172 g/L
