The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A Rhône Valley icon, Michel Chapoutier commands a phenomenal lineup of crus.
With his winemaking flair and deep knowledge of the region, no one is better at unearthing the finest terroirs. His wines are remarkably consistent, delivering some of the most complete, expressive takes on each appellation.
Wine The 2023 Red Crozes-Hermitage Petite Ruche is a beautifully ripe Syrah, built on freshness with smoky, bacon-like notes. Vinified and aged in concrete vats — with no oak influence — it offers a juicy, vibrant profile, with silky tannins and irresistible drinkability. A wine made for pure, immediate pleasure — best enjoyed within the next two years.
Vinification Hand harvested. Vinification in cement vats with 2 pump-overs per day for 3 to 4 weeks after alcoholic fermentation. Aged in vats. Bottled the following autumn.
