The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine In the heart of Pessac-Léognan, La Mission Haut-Brion stands opposite Château Haut-Brion. These two legends share the same terroir and the same winemaking team. The release of the 2014 vintage of La Mission Haut-Brion is a superb opportunity to experience the grace of an iconic wine.

The Maréchal Duc de Richelieu is said to have remarked of La Mission Haut-Brion: “If God forbade drinking, would He have made wine this good?” Its voluptuous texture defies classification, and this broad, powerful, explosive wine only reaches its full glory after years of aging, as the 2014 vintage so perfectly shows.
Wine La Mission Haut-Brion 2014 is hot on the heels of its neighbor and teammate Haut-Brion. In this vintage of freshness and balance, it has kept its lively, vibrant bouquet, but the shyness it once showed in barrel has given way to a more extroverted personality. The nose is exquisite, with pure black fruit, cold stone notes and a touch of black olive. After 10 years of aging, La Mission Haut-Brion is hitting its stride, shining with sensuality. Superb!
Vinification Hand harvested grapes, aged for 18 to 20 months in barrels, 55% of which are new.
