The estate and the wine |
A leading name in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Usseglio Raymond & Fils is one of the most in-demand estates in the region. Their wines are bursting with energy and balance, outshining many of their neighbors with a level of class and consistency that’s hard to beat.
A longtime favorite of the Parker Guide, their wines are getting tougher to find—each new vintage is gone in a flash. |

The 2022 Red Châteauneuf-du-Pape is the estate’s flagship wine—a classic blend of five grape varieties, with Grenache taking the lead from 50-year-old vines. Thanks to perfectly ripe fruit and a restrained aging approach (80% in concrete vats, 20% in large oak casks, no new wood), it delivers bold, juicy fruit with notes of black berries, spice, cinnamon, and wild herbs. It’s generous and full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a rich, plush texture—all lifted by refreshing fruit and remarkable freshness. A beautifully composed wine with real depth and flair. Rated 94/100 by our Selection Committee. |
